Medesque Cookbook Club
Join us for our Fall Cookbook Club where we’ll be cooking from Medesque by Georgina Hayden — and pretending we’re on a Mediterranean vacation. ⛱️
A celebration of Georgina’s Greek-Cypriot heritage and the wider Mediterranean, Medesque is packed with vibrant, generous recipes that make the most of late-summer produce. Think fresh herbs, juicy tomatoes, seafood, grilled meats, colourful vegetables, dips, pastas, and plenty of dessert. 🍅🍋🐟🫒
There’s something for everyone — meat eaters, vegetarians, pescatarians, pasta lovers, and gluten-free folks too. The recipes are unfussy, flavour-packed, and made for sharing, which is exactly the kind of cookbook we love bringing to the table.
We'll be hosted by Lili & Oli in Little Burgundy. This event is BYOB! 🍷 Non-alcoholic drinks will be provided.
Come gather around the table, soak up the last of summer, and eat your way through Medesque with us!
HOW IT WORKS: must read
We select a featured cookbook. We will be cooking from Medesque by Georgina Hayden!
Once you have bought your ticket and secured your spot, you will be sent the Recipe Sign-up Sheet. Please claim your recipe in the Sheet. We each cook one recipe from the cookbook to bring to the event.
We gather for a potluck-style meal, sampling dishes made by everyone and eating our way through the cookbook!
ACCESSING YOUR RECIPE:
We encourage all participants to support the Author and purchase the book to access your recipe (and many more). MTL Cookbook Club members can purchase Medesque at Appetite for Books in Westmount and receive a 20% discount by showing your ticket at the cash!
If cost is prohibitive, call your local library to see if it’s available! If you cannot access the cookbook, please contact me (at graceduern@gmail.com or @grace_noshes on Instagram) and I will happily share your recipe with you.

Cookbook Club hosts and participants will not be held liable for any illness or reaction to foods you choose to consume.
The ticket cost is non-refundable should you choose not to participate after purchasing your ticket.
