Research Sprint

​We are thrilled to announce the Research Sprint Hackathon, which will be held from 23rd to 25th of October 2026 in person in Groningen, with teams joining online from New York and Hong Kong!

Our goal is to unify technical and governance people and create multidisciplinary teams to design and run an experiment on collusion between AI agents. To accomplish this, we are welcoming students and professionals in any field. No AI, ML or safety background is required to join. 

–> The research sprint happens in person in Groningen,
alongside online teams in New York and Hong Kong
–> The teams are multidisciplinary and consist of up to 4 people
–> No prior knowledge of AI Safety is required
–> The top teams can win up to $2,000 in prizes across the
tracks and will be invited into a longer research fellowship with
