Yumi Ahn - Counsel, Tokyo International Law Office
Yumi Ahn is a California-qualified lawyer based in Tokyo specializing in startup advisory involving emerging technologies and cross-border M&A. She is currently working as Counsel at TKI (Tokyo International Law Office), a full-service law firm with offices in Tokyo and Singapore. Prior to moving to Tokyo 2 years ago, Yumi worked in Singapore at major law firms, MNCs and startups both in private practice and in-house, advising on legal matters within the APAC region. Originally from Korea, she writes and speaks about regulations and market trends in AI and web3 sectors.
Nayan Madhamshettiwar - Managing Director, First Rate Pune
Nayan is a distinguished leader in digital transformation and financial technology with over 20 years of IT experience, including a decade in wealth management solutions. He leads a team of innovators delivering AI-driven strategies, portfolio performance measurement, client reporting, and data aggregation tools that empower financial advisors and firms. Nayan's expertise spans building AI-based investment strategies, implementing Long Short-Term Memory models for improved risk-adjusted returns, and designing automated services like portfolio rebalancing, tax-loss harvesting, and market-sensing strategies for diverse clients, including pension funds and UHNW individuals. A recognized thought leader, he has authored articles on AI's impact in wealth management and was named Fintech Person of the Year at the Financial Technologies Forum, New York, in 2024.
David Yi - Managing Partner, Ethos Fund
David Yi is the Managing Partner of Ethos Fund, a pre-seed fund bridging Vietnam–US innovation. An 8x founder with multiple exits, David has built three $20M+ ARR companies, raised over $300M in venture capital, and driven $10B+ in cross-border business between Asia and the U.S.
He brings deep expertise in education, law, and technology, shaped by a career spanning international legal work, leadership in K–16 education, and executive roles in fast-scaling tech ventures. David recently launched Founder Chapel, a space offering spiritual and strategic care for entrepreneurs, especially in emerging markets. He is also a scholar at Fuller Theological Seminary, where his work focuses on the emotional, ethical, and spiritual lives of founders. David studied at Middlebury College and the University of Chicago, where he was a finalist at the 2009 Chicago Booth New Venture Challenge. He lives in Saigon with his wife and two sons.
Yutaro Hiyama - Director, Hirac Fund
Yutaro Hiyama (“Yuta”) is Director at Hirac Fund, operated by Money Forward Venture Partner, a group company of Money Forward, engaged in investment execution and fundraising for 21 portfolio investments across diverse sectors including Web3, fintech, deep tech (chemical/medical/manufacturing), ESG, and welfare. Yuta has experience in international tax advisory at EY and venture capital investments in Southeast Asia, and is a business / finance graduate of a university in London, UK with accelerated completion.
