About Event

Give your clothes a second life and your community a fresh start. Join us for the Project Ropa Volunteer Day to see circular fashion in action!

Lend a hand at Project Ropa's Gardena warehouse by organizing clothing donations, stocking our Mobile Clothing Closet, and assembling hygiene kits for our clients. Your support helps ensure essential items are ready to be distributed to those who need them most.

By attending the event, you'll also have the opportunity to meet the founder of Project Ropa, pick up a Repair to ReLove Kit from Circular Fashion LA, and get inspired to upcycle clothing with Climate Designers LA Chapter!

Spots are limited due to the size of the event space. Please register and select your preferred volunteer session 💪✨.

What Project Ropa Does

Project Ropa’s mission is to reduce textile waste and restore dignity by providing clothing and hygiene essentials to those in need, while advocating for clothing to be recognized as an essential human right.

Clothing is more than just fabric—it’s a fundamental human need. Project Ropa's mobile walk-in clothing closet brings more than clean clothes, shoes, accessories, and hygiene kits to underserved communities across Los Angeles—it brings dignity, confidence, and a renewed sense of self.

Meet the Founder

Throughout the day, you’ll meet Caitlin Adler, Founder and Co-Executive Director of Project Ropa. Caitlin collaborates with manufacturers, retailers, corporations, nonprofits, and individuals to rescue surplus items that might otherwise be discarded or exported. Share your ideas, sign up to volunteer, or become an upcycle partner!
