5:15PM-6:15PM - Video Games in Hawaii Presentation.
5:00PM-8:30PM - Arcade: Game Prototypes + Art + E-sport Exhibition.
The University of Hawaiʻi and Kā Makani Kaʻili Koa will open the arcade with a presentation on building a homegrown video game industry in Hawaiʻi — following the model of our big brothers in Aotearoa, which grew its game industry to $1B in revenue in just seven years. Hear from a New Zealand industry professional and Hawaiʻi-based experts on why this moment exists and how we plan to get there. Then walk straight into the arcade next door to see it already in motion — early playable projects built by our own students.

Special Guests: Come talk story with developers from Riot Games, Wizards of the Coast, Bungie and our cultural partners at KMKK!
