

Preschool Process Art: Monoprinting Canvas Totes for ages 3-6
Get messy and experiment with new mediums by painting a design on plastic sheets to transfer directly onto your own canvas tote bag to take home! This indoor workshop is a sensory experience for children ages 3-6.
What to expect:
🎨 Support school-readiness and emotional regulation skills through a short circle time at 15:35 with read aloud and movement game.
🎨 Develop fine motor skills and engage in sensory learning through painting with various tools and sensory bins.
🎨 Practice creativity and independence through process art to create a one-of-a-kind piece to be proud of.
🎨 Develop social skills with same-age peers in small group environment.

If your child is comfortable with you doing so, caregivers may leave the event space, but we kindly ask you check-in with us first. Otherwise, we invite adults in attendance to stay, sit back and relax, order a specialty coffee or snack, and meet other parents. If your child needs emotional support during the activity, you are of course welcomed to to step in. Otherwise, your Friendship in the Feld educators are there to provide assistance and encourage your child's independent creativity and problem solving.

⏱️This Session's Agenda:
This indoor workshop will begin with a short circle time, featuring a themed read-aloud and a fun movement activity to help kids warm up and connect. After that, children will dive into the making process. A cozy sensory bin free-play and book area will also be available throughout the session for children who arrive early, or who need a break throughout the session.

Further information: Our workshops are held in English, including any read-alouds or songs. We are happy to provide German language support when needed.
We will provide all craft and sensory materials as well as a caring and nurturing environment for safe and supported learning.
We suggest you feed your child a small snack before the session, or have one available for afterwards. Please leave a water bottle for your child during the workshop. There is a toilet and changing table on site. Please dress your child in clothing that can get messy. We also suggest you bring an extra set of clothes for your child to change into after the session.
Refund Policy: If you can no longer attend a workshop, we ask that you please let us know by cancelling your registration on Luma. If you cancel your participation at least 7 days before the event, you will receive a refund of the ticket price minus Lumas's ticketing fee. Cancellations made by the purchaser within 7 days of the event are non-refundable, but we will happily provide a discount code for your next ticket purchase.
Who we are: Meggie and Raela are your teachers with Friendship in the Feld, an early childhood development program providing play-based educational workshops for children. We are two early childhood educators with more than 20 years of combined experience with young children. Through sensory experiences, art exploration and child-led play, we aim to support social-emotional learning and help develop community and school readiness skills.
