​AUAR Goes Mid-Rise

​In July 2024, AUAR was awarded a £341k Innovate UK SMART grant to tackle a big challenge: how to enable the delivery of sustainable, affordable mid-rise timber housing at scale.

​Over the past 13 months, we’ve worked with partners across the UK, including Waugh Thistleton, to design and validate a new way of delivering mid-rise timber housing using robotic micro-factories.

​Over the past 3 months, we've gone from 0 to full alpha prototype of the new version of our Micro-Factory. This Micro-Factory is capable of delivering mid-rise at scale.

​We’re marking the end of the IUK project and showcasing the start of what comes next.
