In 1996, Jay-Z released a debut album that would go on to shape rap for the next thirty years. This Friday, join us as we celebrate.
The DJ builds the night around the record — "Dead Presidents," "Can't Knock the Hustle," "D'Evils" — tracing the sound and swagger that came out of one album and never really left. Reasonable Doubt set a tone. Thirty years later, you can still hear it.
