About Event

Women at the Centre of India's Green Transition

Across India, the transition to a green economy is creating new opportunities for innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable livelihoods. Women are already leading change across renewable energy, circular economy, sustainable agriculture, waste management, and climate adaptation. Yet many continue to face barriers in accessing finance, markets, technology, networks, and leadership opportunities needed to fully participate in and shape the country's green transition. As India accelerates its climate ambitions, building inclusive ecosystems that enable women to lead is both an economic opportunity and a development imperative.

As part of Asia Impact House, through the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI), the High Commission of Canada in India, Head Held High Foundation, and MASH Project Foundation are convening an invitation-only leadership roundtable to explore how stronger partnerships, financing, and ecosystem support can place women at the centre of India's green transition.

The roundtable will also mark the launch of the Women in Green Trade (WGT) initiative, supported through the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI).
