TDC Demo Day: Defence, Aviation & Projects from the Room
The Drone Community is back with a Demo Day. This one brings together two speakers from very different corners of the industry and an open floor for members to show the projects they're working on.
The talks
First, a voice from the defence world. Unmanned systems in defence operate under conditions most civilian builders never touch: high stakes, zero margin for error, and a discipline around reliability and testing that the rest of the field can learn a lot from. This talk goes into what that world actually looks like and what carries over to the work we're all doing.
Second, a leader from the aviation industry. Commercial drones don't fly in a vacuum, they fly in regulated airspace alongside everything else. This talk breaks down how drones fit into that system today, what the rules mean for people building real products, and where the genuine opportunities are opening up.
The floor
Then it's over to the members. Anyone building something gets the stage to present their own work. That could be a half-finished prototype, a weekend hack, a flight controller you soldered last month, or a startup that's still just a few people and an idea. Put the hardware on the table, throw up a few slides, and walk the room through it. You'll get honest feedback from people who've built the same kind of thing and hit the same walls.
