The Human Side of AI Enablement: A Conversation for People Leaders

Date: Thursday, Sep 10, 2026
Time: 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM ET

About this virtual event

Every company is somewhere on the AI adoption curve right now. Most People leaders are being asked to lead that charge, even when no one handed them a playbook.

The real question isn't whether AI changes how teams work. It's how do you bring your people along without losing what makes your culture work in the first place?

Some companies are moving fast and breaking things. Others are holding back, waiting to see what sticks. Most are somewhere in the middle, figuring it out in real time.

Our panelists:

Brandon Sammut
Chief People & AI Transformation Officer at Zapier

Brandon leads people strategy and AI transformation at Zapier, where his role expanded from Chief People Officer to include AI Transformation in late 2025, one of the first titles of its kind. Under his leadership, Zapier has driven AI adoption to 97% of employees and made AI fluency a hiring bar, with culture and leadership as the engine behind every gain. Before Zapier, he was Chief People & Culture Officer at LiveRamp. He holds degrees from Stanford and the University of Michigan.

Howard Lerman
Founder & CEO at Roam

Howard is the founder and CEO of Roam, a virtual HQ platform helping distributed teams work together as if under one roof. Before Roam, he founded and led Yext (NYSE: YEXT) for over 15 years, through its IPO, and founded Confide, later sold to IAC. Known for his contrarian take that there's "no colocation without collaboration," Howard built Roam as fully remote from day one, a perspective he'll bring to the conversation on AI and in-person culture.

In this live session, we'll get into what's actually happening inside people teams right now. What's working, what's not, and what leaders wish they'd known earlier.

Here's what we'll cover (subject to change)

  • Welcome and intros

  • The vantage point: what AI transformation actually looks like from a People seat in 2026

  • What's working: building AI fluency and amplifying human potential without the backlash

  • Reality vs. hype: the human dynamics and decision-making nuances no one talks about

  • Why bringing your team together in person is one of the most underrated tools in an AI rollout

  • Audience Q&A

  • Close + resource share

One thing we keep hearing from People leaders: the companies getting this right are being more intentional about when and how they bring their people together in person, not less.

It's a candid conversation with someone who's been in the room, making these calls, across a team of thousands.

If you're a CHRO, Chief People Officer, VP of People, Head of People, HRBP, Chief of Staff, Executive Assistant etc. — this one is for you.

Offsite works with People and Operations teams to plan the moments that matter most. This is one conversation we didn't want to miss.
