About Event

Kick off Climate Week with a free guided tour of Blue Hill Observatory, beginning at 1:00 PM and lasting approximately one hour. Led by Kite and Wind Education Program Director Don McCasland, the tour offers an inside look at one of the longest-running climate observing stations in the world and how over 140 years of continuous data are collected and used today.

From the summit, take in sweeping views of the Boston skyline—among the best vantage points in the region—and see how geography, elevation, and exposure shape the data we collect.

Visitors are also welcome to explore the Observatory at their own pace—open from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Come for the tour or drop in anytime to experience this living laboratory of weather and climate science.
