​DevNight#9: Agentic Skills Engineering

​This DevNight is a special one.

​More than a decade after BucharestJS first started bringing developers together in Bucharest, the BucharestJS community is becoming part of DevNights.

​And with it, Ciprian “Chip” Borodescu, who founded BucharestJS back in 2015, is joining DevNights and will help us carry that community spirit forward.

​For many people in Bucharest tech, BucharestJS was a place where they met great people, exchanged ideas, gave their first talk, learned something new, or simply had a good conversation over a beer.

​Now, that community is finding a new home under DevNights, please join us in welcoming the new members in our larger & stronger community.

​A DevNight is a relaxed evening for developers, founders and builders interested in software and AI.

​No stage. No long presentations. Just open discussions and people learning from each other.

​This month: Agentic Skills Engineering

​This time we’ll talk about Skills.

​What makes a Skill actually useful? How should you structure one? What tends to go wrong? And what role will Skills play as agents become more capable?

​We’ll start as we usually do, by catching up, meeting new people and talking about what everyone has been building, learning or struggling with over the past month.

​From there, we’ll get into Skills and compare approaches, experiments, questions and opinions from around the room.

​To close the discussion, our friend Dan Stinga from PeakAI, recent winner of Formidable’s Skillathon alongside Sergiu Craioveanu, will show us how he approaches building a Skill properly and share some of what they learned while working on their winning entry.
