Let's run an experiment. If your goal were to make your company fail in the next few years, what would you do?
Ignore a major technological shift? Keep investing in something that is losing relevance? Stop listening to your customers? Dismiss a competitor because today they still look too small to matter?
This time, we'll start from the least reassuring side of the future. Together, we'll build the worst-case scenario for your company, project or organization. Through a deliberately provocative exercise inspired by the futures frameworks of Jim Dator, we'll explore the possibilities we usually prefer not to think about.
Because anticipating the future doesn't mean imagining only what we hope will happen. It also means being able to look directly at what could go wrong.
And then we'll flip everything. We'll turn risks, vulnerabilities and blind spots into strategic questions: what could we do today to become more prepared for tomorrow?
In 90 minutes, we'll move from worst-case thinking to Strategic Foresight and explore why Future Literacy, the ability to use the future to better understand and act in the present, is becoming an increasingly important skill for entrepreneurs, innovators and organizations.

FONDAZIONE IIF — Italian Institute for the Future
The Italian Institute for the Future (IIF) is a non-profit foundation and one of Italy's leading reference points for Futures Studies and Strategic Foresight. Since 2013, IIF has been promoting a culture of anticipation and Futures Literacy through research, education, consulting and public engagement, working with companies, institutions and communities to explore emerging trends, understand long-term change and develop more informed and resilient strategies for the future. Every year, the Foundation organizes its international Futures Studies Conference, bringing together futurists, researchers, practitioners and experts to explore emerging challenges and long-term transformations. Gloria Puppi is a Strategic Foresight consultant, immersive storyteller, lecturer and speaker. Her work combines Futures Studies, Design Fiction and storytelling to help organizations explore possible futures and translate emerging change into scenarios, strategies, products and services. She is an Advisory Board member of the Fondazione IIF, founder of Read My Script, and creator of the Futurize Me methodology.
