About Event

DEMO NIGHT

Read before registering:
This an event where you do speak for 2 minutes and don't just come to watch. Our demo rate at event is >50%, and we plan on keeping it this way, especially given the limited capacity in Zurich.

  • Apply with a demo --> Fast-track to approval

  • "Just watch" --> We're going to wait until ~3 days before the event and admit ~10-15 people if there's space.

Demos are 2 minutes, and you can demo anything that a) shows something interesting and b) that others can learn from.

Welcome to our DEMO NIGHT in Zürich!
The DEMO NIGHTS are bringing together the best builders from all over Europe to meet in Zürich this time. You will have the chance to demo what you have been building (from web apps to robot arms), but most importantly you will meet fellow builders that are equally ambitious and relentlessly building.

The builders in the room want to see your terminal, your web app, your sensor logs or even your robot and hear about what unexpected challenges you encountered or are trying to fix right now. Bonus points if what you're building is a random, obscure side project.

What to Expect:

• Live Demos Only: Laptop/Hardware-to-projector. No slides. If you want to show pictures, do so in VSCode or preview. Show us a demo, the code and/or the hardware within 3 minutes.

• Food and drinks: The demos are a setup for conversations after. We'll be providing food and drinks.

Prizes:

There will be two awards and mini-prizes, both by vote of the audience.

  1. Most Engaging Presentation - This is not about the shiniest project, but the coolest presentation. Make those who never thought about what you're working on care about the problem you're solving and root for you!

  2. Bravest Demo - an award honouring those who are most transparent on problems they're facing, mistakes they made and who demoed something they've only been working on for a week and still isn't working, but that didn't stop them from showing what they're working on.
