SFC After IROS 2026: What’s Next for Spatial Intelligence & Robotics
SFC and Mission Robotics are getting together again in San Francisco for an After IROS evening on October 22.
IROS 2026 just wrapped up in Pittsburgh, and we came back with a lot of new ideas, interesting conversations, and things we still want to talk about.
We saw a lot happening across robotics, Physical AI, robot learning, simulation, world models, and more. Some of it was exciting, some of it surprised us, and some of it made us think differently about where the industry might be going.
So instead of letting those conversations end with IROS, SFC is bringing them back to San Francisco.
For this event, we’re inviting some friends who were also at IROS to share what they saw, what caught their attention, and what they came away thinking about. We want to talk about the robots, research, demos, and ideas that people are still thinking about after leaving Pittsburgh.
From there, we want to continue the conversation together. What did we actually learn from IROS this year? What feels like real progress? And what does all of this tell us about where robotics and AI may be going next?
If you were at IROS, come share your experience. If you weren’t, come hear what people brought back and join the discussion.
Food and drinks will be provided. Come hang out with us and spend an evening talking about what’s happening next in robotics and Physical AI.

Featured Speakers
To be announced soon.
We’re inviting several friends who attended IROS 2026 to join us and share what they found interesting this year.
We’ll announce the first speakers and topics soon.
Call for Speakers
We’re also looking for a few more speakers for the evening.
If you were at IROS and came back with something you want to talk about, we’d love to hear from you. Maybe it was a robot or demo that surprised you, a paper that changed how you think about a problem, a conversation you had there, or simply something you noticed about where the industry is moving.
It doesn’t need to be a formal presentation. A research project, technical demo, product, recent experiment, or an interesting idea can all make a good session.
If you’d like to speak, select the “Speaker” option when registering on Luma and tell us briefly what you’d like to share. Feel free to include a link to your paper, project, demo, or website.
We’ll reach out to selected speakers directly.
About the Hosts
Spatial Frontier Club
Spatial Frontier Club is a Bay Area community focused on Spatial Intelligence, Physical AI, World Models, Robotics, Embodied AI, Simulation, and 3D technology.
We host technical talks, research discussions, dinners, and community events around these areas, and we’re always happy to meet more people working on interesting problems.
Mission Robotics is building the beating heart of robotics in the Mission, bringing together the leading builders, founders, and mad scientists making embodied AI a reality. If your robot got you kicked out of a WeWork, we want you here.
Registration
This is a curated gathering with limited capacity.
Please register using your current affiliation and tell us a little about what you’re working on or why you’re interested in joining. We’ll review registrations as they come in.
