SatoShe x SheCrypto Webinar β Bitcoin at the Dinner Table: How to Talk to Your Family Over the Holidays
βLADIES ONLY π
βYou know how it goes. Somewhere between the main course and the dessert, someone at the table says something about Bitcoin. Dismissive, or far too confident. And you say nothing, because the room is not set up for you to say anything.
βThis evening is about what you say instead.
βWhat you will take away
ββ½ You can explain in two sentences what Bitcoin actually is, in language that works at a dinner table rather than in a conference talk. That alone changes how the conversation goes.
ββ½ You know how to answer the objections that come up every single time: it's a bubble, it's for criminals, it's bad for the planet, it's too late. Not with slogans, with answers you can stand behind.
ββ½ You recognise the moment a conversation stops being a conversation, and you know how to step out of it without losing the relationship. Most of the damage at family tables is done after that point.
ββ½ You understand why the people closest to you push back hardest, and why that is almost never about Bitcoin.
ββ½ You can talk about your own decisions without having to defend them, and without recommending anything to anyone.
ββ½ You have asked your questions. All of them.
βWhy this evening is different
βTwo women, two continents, the same table. Lisa works in Switzerland and the German-speaking countries, Kelly Ann in the United States. The objections turn out to be remarkably similar, and so does the silence that follows them.
βThis is a conversation, not a slide deck. We talk for about an hour, then the floor is yours.
βBoth of us come at this from more than one side. Lisa is a psychologist and a blockchain researcher. Kelly Ann is an award-winning journalist who has spent years building rooms where women can ask. Neither of us will tell you what to buy.
βWho it's for
βFor women who have some sense of what Bitcoin is and are tired of going quiet when it comes up. No prior knowledge is needed and no question is too basic. If you have been around a while, come for the part about why people react the way they do.
βBring the question you have actually been avoiding.
