About Event

Learn quick and easy ways to make DIY skin and hair products with Judie Bamber.

There are many products that we pay large amounts of money for that are incredibly easy to make ourselves. Most people don’t do it because they don’t know how or they think it will be messy and time consuming.

The products we buy in the stores are often made using unnecessary chemicals to preserve, add fragrances and pleasing colors. These chemicals are going into our bodies and accumulate over time sometimes leading to health issues. Store bought products are packaged in attractive single use plastic and glass containers that take resources to produce and then end up in the landfill. These corporations may also be giving money to things that don’t align with our own values.

DIY beauty produces allow us to bypass the capitalist corporate structures that put chemicals into our bodies and produce unnecessary waste. By making our own products we can choose what works best for our individual, values, tastes, and health and beauty needs.

In this workshop we will use natural ingredients, many of which you probably already have in your home.

We will make one skin product that is trending right now and so easy to make, Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Serum with an emphasis on aging skin. I love this product. It has drastically changed the texture of my skin! We will also make one hair product, DIY Sea Salt Spray for Hair. This one is particularly good for adding texture and bringing back waves. Time permitting we will make one more surprise face mask.

All ingredients and receptacles will be provided.

You will leave with 1 oz dropper bottle of Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Serum and one 10 oz bottle of DIY Sea Salt Spray for Hair. Both scented with the essential oils of your choice.

Additionally, I'll share handouts of the recipes for both things made in the workshop, as well as, recipes for DIY deodorant and face oil.
