About Event

Make friends who care about stuff at Soapbox Portland, the city's most fun community space for climate action!

We're having a party for people who care about the planet. Same time, same place, every week. You're invited.

Wish you had more fun things to do on a Tuesday night than to doomscroll on social media?

Wish there were third places in Portland where you can make friends without feeling weird about it or having to buy a $20 drink?

Wish you could do something meaningful to take care of our one and only beautiful home?

Well, well, well. Aren't you in luck! Soapbox Project has officially landed in Portland, and we're here to transform your climate anxiety, loneliness, and powerlessness into action! And fun!

The best part? It's every. single. Tuesday. evening. AND we serve you dinner!

Our plan

Every first Tuesday of the month, we host a concert series called Dream Sessions.

It's an intimate show with a local musician. Here's the twist: between every song, we offer you conversation prompts to think about our current systems, reimagine new ones, and talk about tradeoffs with new friends who want to make changes alongside you.

  • 5-6PM: Chomp & chat. Grab a plant-based meal (dinner is included) and a new friend

  • 6-7PM: Dream Sessions on January's theme of safe & vibrant communities featuring Sara Tone

  • 7-8PM: More mingling & vibing

About Sara Tone

Expressing herself through voice, guitar, baritone uke, kalimba, ocarina, and an assortment of percussion instruments. Her style ranges from deep heart rooted fae-soul, world-folk, with an undeniable hip-hop approach.
