Stop by Oblique Table for an open studio afternoon with Scented Stranger.
Explore a selection of herbs, incense, and botanical scents through a guided sensory journey. Meet the founder of Scented Stranger, hear about her journey with scent, and spend some time smelling, discovering, and asking questions.
During the open studio, you can also browse and purchase incense, incense jewelry, and small gifts from Scented Stranger — whether for yourself or to bring home for someone else.
Open Studio entrance is free. Walk-ins are welcome.
Botanical Oil Blending Workshop
2:00–3:30 PM · 90 minutes · Ticket Required
For those who want to go a little deeper, we’ll also host a small Botanical Oil Blending Workshop during the open studio.
We’ll begin with an introduction to the Five Elements — Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water — and how they are traditionally connected with seasons, balance, and different qualities of the body.
Then we’ll move into scent.
You’ll smell and compare 8–10 botanical essential oils, exploring aromas that feel warming, cooling, grounding, refreshing, or calming. Through guided reflection, you’ll notice which scents you naturally respond to and use them to create your own 10 ml personal oil blend to take home.
Workshop spots tend to fill quickly, so we recommend reserving your ticket before visiting. A limited number of walk-in spots may be available.
