HK Bitcoin City: Pilot Launch

​The Bitcoin Association of Hong Kong and The Whale Lounge launch HK Bitcoin City, a pilot to put Hong Kong on Bitcoin. The first target: 100 founding stores accepting it for everyday payments.

​The clock is Bitcoin Asia 2026. When 20,000 Bitcoiners land in Hong Kong this August, we want them paying in sats at real shops across the city. El Salvador showed what happens when Bitcoin becomes everyday commerce. Hong Kong is next, and this is the night it begins.

​On the night, we will show how the pilot works, demo a live Bitcoin payment on the BASIC POS, and open merchant applications in the room.
