Reading the climate pulse
Launch of the 2026 Indicators of Global Climate Change with UK Climate Minister Katie White
Join the launch of the 2026 Indicators of Global Climate Change (IGCC) for the annual, IPCC-aligned pulse-check on human-induced warming and the changing state of the planet, during London Climate Action Week.
In the long gap between major IPCC assessments, the IGCC gives policymakers a reliable yearly read on what the climate is doing and why. This event brings together scientists, policymakers, journalists and analysts to explore what this year's indicators reveal and what they mean for risk and policy planning. The new IGCC Guide for Policymakers will also be launched on the day.
The morning will be chaired by Baroness Worthington, with a response from Katie White MP, Minister for Climate, and a keynote from IGCC lead author Dr. Piers Forster. It will open with the premiere of a new animation summarising the report's key findings, followed by a panel discussion (panel speakers to be announced) and audience Q&A.
Places are limited. Please RSVP here to reserve your seat. Exact location to be shared with event confirmation.
