Pressed — A Black August Nail Bar Workshop
Quantum Lacquer x Gladys’s Books & Wine
Pressed is a participatory nail workshop and care story experience rooted in the tradition of adorning the hands that hold us. Each guest receives a fitted press-on set, design materials, and guided time to build a custom set — for the grandmother who raised you, or the one you’re becoming. Reflective questions move through the room like atmosphere: not homework, just an invitation to remember.
Submitted sets will be added to our Grandma’s Handz Grid project — an ongoing archive mapping Black care labor through the language of adornment.
Your ticket includes:
• Full nail prep and sizing session • Blank press-on set fitted to your hand • Design materials to create your own custom set • To-go kit to take your finished nails home
