About Event

Never held a hook or yarn before? No problem! This Crochet 101 class is really the 101 version.

Starting with basics, we'll practice two fundamental crochet stitches that can be used to make anything (yes anything! Hats, sweaters, stuffies and more!). In addition to the basics of crocheting, we will cover some of the lingo and acronyms as well as construction of a washcloth - from yarn to fabric. Though we likely won't finish the washcloth during the class timeframe, will leave with the materials and confidence to finish the project including the yarn, hook, darning needle and a written pattern.

Though primarily meant for beginners, this class is welcome to any skill level! Please note, we will be sticking to the basics. For more advanced classes, check back for future classes!

About your instructor:

Aiko Mizumori (@aikrochet) "A true Seattleite, I grew up just outside the city, crafting for as long as I can remember! I started knitting as a child, switching over to crochet in college. I've been crocheting for over a decade and designing patterns for close to 8 years. I love crocheting blankets and amigurumi (stuffies) and using granny squares to build all kinds of fun things! Over the years I've started sewing, quilting, embroidering, and cross stitching and love sharing crafts with all my friends and family."
