The End of Wilderness (And Why That’s A Good Thing)
We’ve spent a century trying to save nature by putting it in a box and calling it a "park," "open space," or "preserve."
It hasn't been working.
This nights speaker is Anne Middleton, a conservation leader and operational strategist who has spent two decades at the intersection of private-sector innovation and global environmental advocacy. She currently serves as Associate Director at WILDCOAST, where she bridges policy, operations, and on-the-ground conservation efforts to scale natural climate solutions.
She believes that if we want to save the planet, we have to stop pretending to "protect nature" and start inviting the wild into our backyards, breweries, and boardrooms.
She’ll break down the complex science of conservation into a digestible (and slightly spicy) argument for why the 'human-nature divide' is a myth we can no longer afford to believe.
The venue is a brewery in North Park (or maybe South Park, depending on who you ask). We'll share the exact details with you after registration.
Doors open at 6. Talk begins at 7. Arrive early to get a drink and meet fellow attendees. We'll have some interactive points of discussion out too.
