Intro to XR: Build Your First Immersive Experience
Curious about XR but not sure where to start?
Join us for a half-day, hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to build your first immersive experience using Unity and the MeshMap SDK, a tool that lets you design interactive XR scenes based on real-world 3D scans. Whether you’re a designer, developer, or just XR-curious, this session will walk you through the essentials of immersive creation. No prior experience required.
What You’ll Learn
• Set up Unity and explore immersive environments
• Use MeshMap to design with real-world 3D scans
• Create animations and visuals for XR
• Add interactive elements with basic C# scripting
• Combine it all into a simple working prototype that we will get to test with glasses.
Who It’s For
• Designers and artists.
• Developers curious about spatial interaction.
• Students or Professors in tech, design, games, or digital arts.
• Anyone new to XR looking to get start.
