🔥 Community Pile Burn & Land Tending

Saturday 9 AM – Sunday 9 PM
Early crew: Friday at 6 PM

We’re gathering for a weekend of tending the land together through a community pile burn.

Fire has long been an important part of caring for our local landscape— balancing the life cycles of oaks and other plants, reducing excess fuel, returning nutrients to the soil, and making space for new growth.

Beyond the practical work, we see this as an opportunity to slow down and be in relationship with the land, the fire, and with each other.

Timing & commitment

We’ll begin together at 9 AM Saturday and tend the burn through 7 PM Sunday until dinner. An early crew is welcome to come Friday at 6 PM to help prepare.

Because tending fire and land works best with continuity and shared responsibility, we ask that everyone commit to a full day or overnight, rather than dropping in for a short visit. You’re also very welcome to stay for the whole weekend.

We hope the weekend can have a spacious rhythm—physical work including gathering brush and branches and feeding the fire, shared meals, rest, and simply being together on the land. We want everyone to be able to participate in ways that feel workable for their body and capacity, and we’re happy to take into account any ability, accessibility, or comfort needs.

Saturday evening, we’ll gather around the fire for a circle of music and connection. Bring an instrument, song, story, or anything else you’d like to share—or just come and listen.

More details to come about food, what to bring, sleeping arrangements, and the flow of the weekend. ❤️‍🔥
