About Event

Powered by Würth Elektronik.

Getting a product from prototype to market is one thing. Getting the underlying decisions right — component selection, cost efficiency, reliability — is an entirely different beast. Get those wrong, and it costs a fortune. Get them right, and it's usually because someone with real experience helped you see the problem before it became expensive.

That kind of insight doesn't come from a datasheet. It comes from engineers who've actually been through it.

On 24 September 2026, Würth Elektronik brings WE Day to MotionLab.Berlin. Würth Elektronik has been part of the MotionLab.Berlin story since the early days, and for the past two years has run a hands-on program for our members: free electronics kits and direct consulting for anyone building hardware on site. WE Day opens that up to a wider room — and marks the official announcement of the partnership.

A full day with the people behind the components. Bring your prototype, your technical questions, and your component headaches.

What to expect:

  • Keynote — Beyond Components: How Partnership Turns Technology Into Impact
Alexander Gerfer, CTO at Würth Elektronik eiSos, has spent nearly three decades shaping the company's technology and R&D. He works closely with startups on hard technical problems, across everything from LED light recipes for plant growth to power electronics for AI.

  • Panel — Würth Elektronik, MotionLab.Berlin, and a founder building in hardware, on the technical problems that actually slow teams down.

  • Workshop — How to Pass EMC Testing with an SMPS
Lorandt Fölkel has 39 years in electronic design and has delivered over 1,200 EMC and RF trainings worldwide. Practical session with a live demo.

  • Workshop — Wireless Communication in Industrial Environments
Felix Langer on current challenges and practical insights, with a live demo.

  • Workshop — Electromechanical Meets Thermal: A Unified Modeling Approach
René Linde on understanding connector behaviour through equivalent circuit models.

  • Open access to Würth Elektronik engineers all day, in the electronics lab and between sessions.

  • Community BBQ to close, plus lunch, drinks, and coworking access.

Free for MotionLab.Berlin members. €10 for external guests.

Workshop places are limited. Full agenda to follow.
