The Event: Sunlight & Memories
For our first workshop, we are diving into the magical world of Cyanotypes — one of the oldest photographic printing processes that uses the power of the sun to create hauntingly beautiful, Prussian-blue prints.
What to Bring: This session is all about preserving a memory. We invite you to bring something personal you want to immortalize in blue. This could be:
A Photo: A high-contrast transparency or a digital photo we can help you prep.
An Object: Your grandmother’s lace, a key, or even a piece of jewelry.
Nature: Pressed flowers, leaves, or feathers.
What We Will Create:
We provide the light-sensitive chemistry and the canvas. You can choose to create your sun-print on:
Provided: We provide all the specialized chemistry and high-quality paper (perfect for framing) for everyone to use.
BYOC (Bring Your Own Canvas): If you wish to print your memory onto a tote bag, T-shirt, or any cotton/denim clothing, please bring your own item along!
The Feast
While our prints develop in the sun, we’ll be "toasting" with a batch of delicious, handcrafted cupcakes. In true Toaster style, ensuring everyone can indulge in a sweet treat while they wait for their blue-hued masterpieces to emerge.
