About Event

California's Attorney General has moved swiftly from a new theory of the case on the friendly PC model to enforcement actions and settlements. This new paradigm means significant changes to the playbook investors and operators have relied on for healthcare delivery business ownership models.

Rebecca Gwilt and Tim Gutwald of Elevare Law have been assiduously tracking these changes from the Art Center Holdings amicus brief to the Aspen Dental settlement and now the $4.4M Carbon Health settlement, which reached past the company to fine its co-founder personally. HTN's Martin Cech will sit down with Rebecca and Tim to better understand the CPOM laws on the books in California and what this change in enforcement posture means for companies doing business in the state.

What we'll cover:

  • The CPOM problem and the friendly PC model solution

  • CA SB 351, the bill that triggered these changes

  • The Art Center brief amicus brief

  • What we can read into based on the Aspen Dental and Carbon Health settlements

  • What sorts of healthcare companies have the most exposure

  • What healthcare companies operating in CA need to do to adapt

  • Is this just California being California or is this the start of a trend?

Live event open to everyone, replay and transcript exclusively available for HTN Pros.
