The Terminator screening @ UCL

​We're going to watch the terminator, eat FREE PIZZA, and then have an open discussion about existential risks posed by artificial intelligence.

​LOCATION: UCL (E28 Harrie Massey LT, Gordon St 25)

​This event is a collaboration between the Cheesegrater and PauseAI.

​Five major corporations are in an arms race to build smarter than human artificial general intelligence, while AI safety researchers warn us of the dangers, and the "Godfather of AI" Geoffrey Hinton says there is a greater than 50% chance of human extinction, these companies are steaming ahead and gaslighting the media about the reality of the situation. We want to have a light-hearted film night to create the space for an open conversation, to allow people to engage with the subject and make up their own minds, these developments in AI are moving exponentially and we need to keep up if we wish to have a say in what our future looks like.
