(11/20) AI and Love: A Salon
We used to turn to friends for relationship advice. Now, we turn to ChatGPT.
People are falling in love with AI companions, getting dating tips from bots, and even marrying virtual partners. AI listens, validates, remembers, and never gets tired of us. For some, it’s the safest love they’ve ever known. For others, it’s a sign that we’re losing touch with what makes connection real.
At this salon, we’ll explore the rise of digital intimacy and what it says about us. We'll explore questions like:
✨ Why are people drawn to AI lovers — safety, control, curiosity, or loneliness?
✨ Can AI truly understand or “feel” love, or just mirror it back to us?
✨ How does it change the way we show up in human relationships?
✨ When does using AI for validation, advice, or companionship become self-numbing rather than self-aware?
✨ What does “real connection” even mean when machines can mimic it perfectly?
Join us for a night of curious conversation on love, loneliness, and the new emotional frontiers being written by AI.
Drinks and snacks provided! We’ll be in Chelsea.
Attendance Policy: Please only RSVP if you can make it. If you cancel within 48 hours of an event, you won’t be able to attend the next two salons (exceptions made if you're feeling sick — please stay home and message me if that’s the case). Salons rely on people showing up, so help us keep the vibe right by committing if you can.
PS. Know someone who would love this? Invite them — just have them RSVP separately!
PPS. Want to come but too much of a financial burden? Message me — we’ll figure it out.
