​Community-led Sustainable Cities (CLSC)

The Community-led Sustainable Cities project brings together residents, local organisations and UTS to imagine, design and activate practical pathways to a more sustainable, connected and resilient inner city. Over the past year, the project has engaged more than 400 community members across Glebe, Pyrmont, Ultimo and Haymarket through creative workshops, storytelling, and co-design processes that centre lived experience and local knowledge. This collaborative groundwork led to three community-led projects - on sustainable food, waste reduction and climate resilience - that bring local ideas to life in practical, place-based ways. Together, they show what’s possible when communities lead and universities walk alongside them.
