Matisse: Drawing with Scissors ✂️🎨
Who says you need a pencil to draw? We will get inspired by Henri Matisse's cut-outs and discover how he turned his health struggles into an entirely new way of making art.
After a close study of some of Matisse's masterpieces, Art Stars will experiment with cutting organic shapes, playful patterns, and unexpected color combinations. We'll arrange, rearrange, layer, and glue our creations onto watercolor paper to make one-of-a-kind compositions. Get ready to cut loose and let your imagination take shape!
We’ll finish with a group critique where everyone can share their artwork and talk about what they discovered through the process.
