Philosophy Meetup: Economic Systems, AI, and the World We're Building
Join us for our next philosophy meetup exploring capitalism, communism, socialism - and what happens to these systems when AI fundamentally changes how we work, produce, and create value.
What we'll discuss:
How did these economic systems emerge? What were they trying to solve? And what kind of society does each one slowly create?
But more importantly: what happens when AI can do most human labor? When productivity is no longer tied to human effort? When the core assumptions these systems were built on - scarcity, labor, value creation - start breaking down?
Questions we'll explore:
Does capitalism survive when machines do the work?
Does communism finally become possible, or does inequality just take new forms?
What does "productivity" even mean in a post-AI world?
Who owns the future when the future is built by machines?
No economics degree needed. Just curiosity and willingness to think through uncomfortable questions about where we're headed.
