About Event

We've been talking to Jess Jorgensen about her brilliant research endeavour Sporesight. "Sporesight is a way of thinking, inspired by nature’s intelligence. Through imagination, education and futures design, we’re on a mission to shape better ways to do business, for regenerative futures."

We are delighted to reveal the plan for the day...

Decomposition Day

A day to slow down, get your decay on, and let something go.

Decomposition Day is a day to step out of the extractive urban grind, meet mushrooms in the woods, and practise the ancient art of decomposition.

Together in Ashdown Forest, we will learn from fungi – nature's hero decomposers – how to create the conditions for regenerative growth, by finding new forms of value in breaking things down.

Decompose to recompose. Rot, before regeneration.

You won’t open a laptop, think too hard, produce a deliverable or meet expectations.

You will meet mushrooms in the woods, find mycelium, decompose something and connect with good people.

Mostly, you'll walk away with a new frame for thinking about regenerative futures.
