The Waiting Room : A Mind-Body Workshop
For many of us in the immigrant community, our journey in this country is often defined by a series of letters and numbers: F1/F2, H4, H1B, EAD. We find ourselves in a waiting room – highly capable, deeply ambitious, yet legally paused.
The uncertainty of this journey doesn't just live in the paperwork; it lives in our bodies. It shows up as a tight jaw, a restless mind, and the heavy feeling of "what now?"
The Third Place HQ invites you to a space where your status isn't the focus—YOU are. This is a workshop designed specifically for women navigating the unique emotional and physical toll of visa dependency and the EAD process.
What to Expect:
The Shared Circle: A facilitated support group discussion where we move past the small talk. I’ll be sharing my own experience with these hurdles and creating a brave space for us to speak about the parts of ourselves we are keeping alive while we wait.
Somatic Movement & Meditation: We will transition from talking to feeling. Somatic techniques are simple tools that help us drop into our bodies to release that stored stress. We’ll focus on grounding, reclaiming our physical space, and calming the nervous system.
Community Connection: Meet other women who truly get it. No explanations needed.

Note:
The shared circle will be a small group since the space has limited capacity so please register soon
