Build Your 2026: Actually This Time
Your New Year's resolutions probably aren't going great. Good news: you're not alone. Better news: we're doing something about it WITH NOTION!
Join us for a super interactive workshop where you walk around a virtual space, meet people whose goals are also struggling, and team up with other attendees to build a Notion system that keeps your (or others) 2026 on track!
What to expect:
27th February | Virtual on Gather.town | FREE
First 30 min: We will gather in a virtual space Gather.town, where everyone will get to discuss how their 2026 has been going so far. We will hear from people who have and how they have been using Notion to help them with the year ahead. You will get a quick Notion recap on how to use basic blocks, pages and databases.
Next 5 min: You will have time to find people you 'vibe' with and split into teams of 3-4.
30 min build time: Your team creates a Notion system that solves a problem YOU agree people face at the beginning of the year, or something that helps people to stay on-track.
30 min showcase: Every team shares what they built. You leave with multiple systems, not just yours. One might be for habit tracking, another for money management, another for focus - take what's useful.
Final 10 min: Exchange LinkedIns with people you actually talked to (not random adds), become part of the community.
Plus: Surprises along the way!
Who should come:
Anyone whose 2026 isn't going as planned (so... everyone?). Students juggling deadlines, professionals feeling scattered, Notion beginners curious to try, Notion nerds wanting to share knowledge - all welcome.
This works whether you're crushing it and want to help others, or you're barely holding on and need support. We're building together, not competing.
What to bring:
Laptop (Gather.town needs desktop)
LinkedIn profile + Instagram account ready (for missions)
Honesty about what's actually not working
Willingness to talk to strangers (everyone is nice here)
Headphones to help with audio
Sense of humour about your failed resolutions
Wait, what's Gather.town?
Imagine if a video game and a networking event was joined together. You control a little avatar with arrow keys, walk up to people to start conversations, explore different rooms (main stage, team spaces, networking lounge). Your video only turns on when you're near someone, so it actually feels like moving through a space rather than staring at a grid of faces.
