International Women’s Day - London Dinner & Live Conversation
Muslim Women Founders (MWF) is a growing platform that brings together Muslim women leaders, founders and changemakers through meaningful conversations, shared learning and community. As part of our International Women’s Day gathering, we will host a special live conversation spotlighting the journey of Muslim woman founders, reflecting on their origin story, the experiences that shaped them, and what it takes to build purpose-driven work today.
Guest Speakers:
Marya Bangee, Senior Advisor at Pop Culture Collaborative (UK) and former Vice President of RISE at The Walt Disney Studios, where she worked across studios including Marvel, Pixar, Lucasfilm and 20th Century to advance culturally representative storytelling and support emerging creative talent.
Fizah Tahir, Founder of Storyfiers, a video storytelling agency helping purpose-driven organisations communicate their impact and drive meaningful change. A former journalist who worked in global newsrooms including the BBC and Al Jazeera, she now leads Storyfiers Academy, a digital course that transforms purpose-driven leaders and creatives into powerful communicators through storytelling, communication and content creation.
Guests will enjoy Syrian cuisine for dinner, alongside time and space to connect and continue meaningful conversations in the beautiful surroundings of Somerset House.
