The Present Moment Game (4 Week Closed)
The Present Moment Game is an experimental social meditation practice that offers a simple yet powerful way for people to drop into the Now together. We call it a game, but it’s really a shared framework that helps deepen present-moment awareness in community with others who are exploring the same terrain.
This winter, The Alembic will host a 4-week closed group (1/29, 2/5 and 2/12 & 2/19) for those who want to explore the container of the Game more intimately — not as a single experience, but as an unfolding journey with the same group of players over four consecutive weeks.
If you’re craving more human nourishment as we move into the quieter weeks of the season, we invite you to join us. Over our four sessions together, we anticipate a meaningful arc of connection, discovery, and collective presence.
What’s the thinking behind the Game? Most of our social interactions are shaped by the past or the future. Even when we’re physically together, it’s surprisingly rare to actually be with one another in the present moment.The Game offers a simple way to meet each other directly in the Here and Now.
When stories, memories, and plans fall away, what’s left is spaciousness — and within that space, a different kind of social experience becomes possible. This is the territory we step into when we come together to play.

What to expect each week:
6:45 – Doors Open
7:00 PM – Event Begins (Doors close at 7:05 - there is no admittance beyond this time. Please note that you will be asked to not bring water or tea into the room with you)
7:10 PM – Welcome / Review Game Rules
7:25 PM – Begin Game
8:25 PM – Game Ends / Group Debrief
8:45 PM – Formal Event Ends (Feel free to then join the complimentary tea service that night with the larger Alembic community until 9:30ish PM)
