Two Film Club events in a month?! Two Yorgos Lanthimos and Emma Stone collaborations in as many years!? In this economy!??!
KINDS OF KINDNESS is co-written by frequent Lanthimos collaborator Efthimis Filippou, this definitely falls on the more surreal DOGTOOTH/THE LOBSTER side of the Yorgos scale. If you thought POOR THINGS was dark, this one deals with free will and the proper pairing for a sautéed finger. Also, this one has Jesse Plemons. Jesse Plemons, Dallas native, Breaking Bad star, best actor at Cannes for this role, makes everything better.
