About Event

You’re a mom and your creativity hasn’t stymied. Maybe you have a great business idea and need help to bring it to life. Or, you’ve been in the same job doing the same thing for a while, and you’re feeling the itch to dream about something new. Or - you just keep encountering the same frustrating problem over and over and haven’t yet found that perfect solution, so you want to build it yourself. Sound familiar?

Join us for Moms Build It, an evening for moms who are balancing ambition and motherhood. We will get a chance to connect and then we’ll have a brief workshop on building websites, shops, apps, and digital tools with no-code AI tools like Lovable. Bring your idea, leave with something real.

No experience required.

You will receive 100 free Lovable credits—more than enough to build that idea that’s been living in your head rent free.

Agenda:

  • 4-4:30pm: Connect with other moms

  • 4:30: Intro

  • 4:45-5:30pm: Build your idea!

  • 5:30-6pm: Select Builders Present

Light refreshments will be provided by Le Village Cowork Lakeview.

About the hosts:

Anna-Mi Widman is a mom and product leader local to Chicago. She is an alumni of the Lovable Ambassador program where she taught vibe coding to local community groups. She is also the founder of Ickly.

Ickly is a crowd-sourced children’s health radar that empowers parents and childcare providers with real time information about what illnesses are going around at local daycares, schools, and neighborhoods. The app launched in Chicago in summer 2026.

Lovable is a no-code AI app builder that lets anyone create digital tools without writing code or having technical expertise.

Le Village Cowork Lakeview is a community-led coworking space for parents with onsite childcare for kids ages 3 months to 4 years old. They offer flexible plan options (from multiple part-time options to full time care) to help modern families balance work and life - because parenting was never meant to be done alone.

Code Your Dreams (CYD) is a Chicago-based nonprofit that empowers learners across the world—whether they are Chicago Public School students, women in Burundi, or incarcerated individuals in Colombia—to use technology to create meaningful change in their communities. Through free, culturally relevant computer science programs, participants build real-world skills in areas like coding, app development, data science, AI, and creative technology, while developing the confidence to see themselves as future innovators and leaders.
