About Event

We’re hosting a literary salon with Summit Books and Moss. to discuss the Danish novel Waist Deep by Linea Maja Ernst. Editor Luiza de Campos Mello Grijns will moderate the conversation, sharing what first drew her to the novel and exploring its rich portrayal of friendship, desire, and self-discovery in Millennial adulthood.

Expect a lively, intimate discussion with a few Danish touches throughout the evening to set the scene.

Waist Deep follows a group of university friends who reunite for a week-long summer retreat at a lakeside house. As old attractions resurface and new relationships take shape, the novel explores the tensions between youthful ideals and adult realities. Described as a modern A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the book has become an international bestseller, earning praise for its nuanced portrayal of Millennial culture, sexuality, and identity.
