CTO Craft Mixers: Dublin
The Engineering Team of 2026: Leading Agents, Not Just Humans
Join us for a CTO Craft Mixer in Dublin during Dublin AI Week (2–9 October), exploring what engineering leadership looks like when your team increasingly includes AI agents.
Our guest is Su/Sukhmani Khanna, founder of Plinker, who has spent the past three months building and launching a startup with a taskforce of 14 AI agents. These aren’t simply coding assistants working independently: they have defined roles, responsibilities and a hierarchy, with agents coordinating and directing the work of other agents.
In this peer-led session for CTOs, VPs of Engineering, and senior technology leaders, Su will share what she has learned from effectively becoming the engineering leader of an AI workforce: how she structures the team, delegates work, reorganises when things aren’t working, and decides what should sit with an agent and what still needs a human.
It’s a glimpse at what this shift could mean for the way we build and lead engineering organisations, and a discussion about what happens to the engineering leader’s role when some of the people you manage aren’t people at all.
What to expect
A real-world look at how a 14-agent team is structured and managed, including roles, hierarchy and agent-to-agent delegation.
Lessons from leading and reorganising an AI taskforce as the work and organisation evolve.
A broader discussion about what agentic teams could mean for engineering leadership, organisational design and the role of the CTO.
Cconversations with other CTOs and senior technology leaders in Dublin.
