​Brain-computer interfaces aren't science fiction anymore. Neuralink, deep brain stimulators, cochlear implants — neural devices are going into human skulls today. And most of them were never designed with security in mind.

​If you can think about RF exploitation and embedded firmware, you already have everything you need to follow this talk. No neuroscience required.

​Core will walk us through the emerging threat landscape of BCIs: what's actually implanted, how these devices talk to the outside world, and where they fall apart. The attack surface is rough:

​🔷 Bluetooth & RF protocols — with no authentication
🔷 Firmware — with no signing
🔷 Proprietary stacks — with no public scrutiny

​From there: how an attacker in range could intercept, replay, or inject signals into a device sitting inside someone's head.

​Then the part that sticks with you — what brainjacking means in practice: inducing pain, suppressing motor control, or manipulating mood and cognition in patients who have no way to opt out in the moment. Plus what the research community and regulators are (and aren't) doing about it.
