About Event

Join us for another Global AI Community Vancouver event featuring two sessions on building AI-powered software factories and securing AI systems.

We'll explore how AI agents are changing software development, from automating workflows to building more autonomous development processes. We'll also dive into AI security, examining emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and practical approaches to building secure AI systems.

Agenda

  • 4:00–4:15 PM | Registration

  • 4:15–5:15 PM | Build your own AI software factory

  • 5:15–5:30 PM | Project Perception

  • 5:30–6:00 PM | Pizza & Networking

  • 6:00–7:00 PM | A Vibe Coder’s Survival Guide: Your App Is Built - Now What?

1. Build your own AI software factory: Eric will show how he built his software factory, using spec-driven practices and reusable developer skills to turn issues into code, tests and reviews. Developers will learn how to connect specialist agents with QA and real user feedback. Related video

2. Project Perception: Explore Project Perception, Microsoft’s agentic cybersecurity system that uses multiple AI agents to discover, investigate, and remediate security threats. Learn how these agents work together to automate threat response while keeping humans in control of critical decisions.

3. A Vibe Coder’s Survival Guide: Your App Is Built - Now What?: You’ve finally built your dream app with AI. Now you have to get it out to the most chaotic and hostile place on Earth, namely the Internet. Is your data safe? What happens when ten thousand bots sign up overnight? And if someone broke into your app, would you even know?

We’ll spend the first half digging into what goes into running an app beyond writing the code: how clients, servers, and databases fit together, where your app lives, and how it gets from your laptop to the Internet. In the second half, we’ll put on an attacker’s hat to see how common security weaknesses get exploited, what you can do to protect your app, and how the future is looking like in the AI era. A beginner-friendly crash course for anyone building with AI.

Speakers

1. Michael Chan: Oxford-educated social scientist turned hacker, now a Security Engineer at Clarity specializing in application security, AI security, and threat modelling.

2. Eric Tech : former Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft and Amazon, now an AI educator and founder of Eric Tech AI Builders, helping businesses and professionals build with AI.

3. Bhuvi Vatsey: Technical Program Manager at Microsoft with 16+ years of experience in cloud transformation and enterprise technology.
