​The festive season is all about giving back. That's why we want to cover the venue(/s??), food and bar tab for your Christmas party this year.
​Register your startup and answer two questions: where are you taking your team to celebrate? why does your team deserve an epic party this year?
​My pick, not that anyone asked, would be Marrickville Lawn Bowls followed by a Chinese banquet @ The Lucky Prawn.
​Entries close Thursday, Nov 26th at 12pm AEST. The winning startup will be announced Friday, Nov 27th at 12pm AEST. We will announce through this Luma page to all registrants and call the winners directly.
​This is a merit-based competition where two winning startup teams will be picked by a panel of three cross-functional Vanta'ns (not me!!). The panel will review the answers provided and assess the impact of the startup's team (ie what they've achieved/are looking to celebrate), the festivity of the proposed plans and the practicality of execution (we can't take you to the moon). This competition is open to startups who are are HQ'd in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Korea and Japan. Each winning startup will have a budget allocated of AUD$3,000 and I will work with them directly to make bookings and payments up to that amount.

​This competition is run by Vanta, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“Vanta”). No purchase or payment is necessary to enter. By entering, you unconditionally accept and agree to comply with these terms and the decisions of Vanta, which are final and binding in all respects.
​Who can enter: Early-stage tech companies headquartered in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea or Japan, with at least one founder and at least two additional team members. Vanta determines eligibility at its discretion. One entry per company, submitted by an individual 18 years of age or older who is authorised to enter on the company’s behalf. Not eligible: government entities, public sector organisations, state-owned or state-controlled entities, government-run or government-affiliated accelerators and programs, and any officers, employees or representatives thereof; persons subject to gift restrictions under applicable anti-corruption laws; and sanctioned persons or entities.
​How it’s judged: A panel of three cross-functional Vanta employees will judge entries on the team’s impact (what you’ve achieved or want to celebrate), how festive your plan is, and how practical it is (we can’t take you to the moon). The judges’ decisions are binding in all respects.
​The prize: Each of the two winning companies will receive up to AUD $3,000 (including taxes) toward venue, food and drinks for a team event, booked and paid for directly by Vanta. Winners agree to work with Vanta in good faith to plan, book and arrange the event, including by providing any information Vanta reasonably requests. The prize is non-transferable and not redeemable for cash, and any unused amount is forfeited. The event must take place by Wednesday, 23rd of December. Winners are solely responsible for any taxes on the prize and must provide any documentation Vanta requests for tax reporting or withholding purposes; failure to do so may result in forfeiture of the prize.
​Liability: Each winning team is responsible for its own conduct at the event and for complying with all applicable laws, including those relating to the service of alcohol. To the extent permitted by law, Vanta disclaims all liability for any loss, damage or injury arising from or in connection with the event. Each winning company agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Vanta and its officers, directors, employees and agents from any claims, losses or damages arising from its participation in the competition or the event.
​Winners and results: Entries close at 12pm AEST on Thursday, Nov 26th. By entering, you agree that Vanta may email you at the address you provide to announce the results. Winners will be notified by Friday, Nov 27th and must respond within [5] business days, or Vanta may select another entrant. Vanta may verify eligibility before awarding a prize. Winners agree that Vanta may share their company name, logo and entry details (e.g., their accomplishments and celebration plans) in emails, social media posts (e.g., LinkedIn), and other communications relating to the competition.
​General: Vanta will handle your information in accordance with its Privacy Policy. Vanta reserves the right to modify or cancel the competition in the event of fraud or circumstances beyond its control, and to disqualify any non-compliant entry. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, except where local law requires otherwise.
