Denver BitDevs - Hashrate Heating and the FOSS Mining Stack
Join us for February's Denver BitDevs! This month's meetup is all about mining—and some niche aspects of it at that.
We're not talking mega mining operations or sales group chats for Chinese slop machines. Tyler and Dylan from Exergy are going to deep dive into the history of bitcoin mining, its centralization forces, and how a free and open source "Linux kernel"-like base layer of the mining tech stack from the 256 Foundation can help decentralize bitcoin and bring mining back to the "don't trust, verify" ethos.
The guys will then dive into the heatpunk movement and all the nitty-gritty on why they believe utility-based mining—for heat, solar, or stranded resources—is key to surviving future epochs.
Come with questions! Hardware demonstrations will be presented. Food and drink provided.
