Warsaw, We Need To Talk - Is Warsaw A Cool City?
is Warsaw actually cool?
or have we just convinced ourselves it is?
spend enough time in Warsaw and it's easy to believe you're living in one of Europe's most exciting cities.
everything feels clean. modern. safe. there's a new restaurant opening every week. specialty coffee is everywhere. the metro works. the parks are full. life feels... easy.
but are we seeing Warsaw as it is?
or are we seeing it through the eyes of people who've chosen to be here?
because outside of Poland, Warsaw rarely enters the conversation. people still talk about Berlin, Copenhagen, Barcelona or Lisbon. some couldn't tell you a single thing about Warsaw.
so what are we missing?
is Warsaw quietly becoming one of Europe's great cities? are we living in a bubble? do cities even need international approval to be considered "cool"? and who gets to decide that in the first place?
this isn't about proving Warsaw is better or worse than anywhere else. it's about questioning the assumptions we've built about the place we call home.
four perspectives. one room. no consensus required.
