About Event

Join fellow developers and creators for an interactive event dedicated to Model Context Protocol (MCP) server development. Experience hands-on talks and live demos from community members sharing their latest experiments, lessons learned, and innovative approaches.

Whether you're just starting with MCP or have built multiple servers, this gathering offers practical insights and real-world examples to advance your projects and connect with others pushing the boundaries of what's possible with MCP.

What's to expect:

  • Amanda Martin - (DA @ Apollo) will show how Authentication works in our community MCP server using the WorkOS Authkit in the Apollo MCP Server.

  • Alex Hancock (Sr. Engineer @ Block) - will walk through how the MCP Specification Enhancement Proposal or SEP process works — how an idea can become part of the official MCP spec. Plus, I will share what we're doing to get SDKs up to speed faster when the spec changes

  • Lenny Burdette (Staff Software Eng @Apollo) - will show some exploratory work on API complexity management, helping you provide the right context to your agents when building and using APIs.

  • Amit Jotwani (DA @ Digital Ocean) - Model Context Protocol (MCP) for Product Managers: A Practical Field Guide. Since March, I've built and deployed local and remote MCP servers, written blog posts on the gotchas, and done internal advocacy for MCP at DigitalOcean. This talk shares what I wish existed when I started: a practical field guide to actually using MCP based on real-world experience.

  • Luis Santos (Sr. Solutions Eng @ Auth0) - will discuss securing MCP servers, agents and expand on applying this to enterprise workforce usecases.

  • Andrew Hoh (CPO @ lastmile.ai) - How to build durable, reliable, and production-ready agent applications using the Model Context Protocol: This talk is all about how to build real-world, production-ready agent apps. We'll dig into how to make agents pause and resume, handle human input, survive crashes, and run on schedules—all by leaning on the right infrastructure.

  • Plenty of time to connect – Light bites, drinks, and the chance to meet fellow builders in the MCP space.
